CHROME: A CONSERVATION HAWKS FILM

IN THE IMMORTAL WORDS OF FLY FISHING LUMINARY TIM ROMANO, A STEELHEAD IS “A TROUT THAT LIVES IN THE OCEAN … IT’S A BAD-ASS FISH.”

Back in September of 2015, six intrepid anglers — Tom Rosenbauer, Kate Taylor, Dylan Tomine, Hannah Belford, Todd Tanner and Tim Romano — visited a remote North American steelhead river known for its incredible scenic beauty and great fishing.  CHROME condenses their adventure into eleven epic minutes.  It also addresses the looming threat that climate change and ocean acidification pose to steelhead & salmon.

CHROME is a collaborative effort between Conservation Hawks and the cinematic team at Conservation Media.  It follows on the heels of 2015’s highly successful COLD WATERS. CHROME was part of the 2016 Fly Fishing Film Tour.

Please join us in calling on the U.S. Congress and President Biden to protect our steelhead and salmon.  Sign our Climate & Steelhead Petition:

Steelhead and salmon need cold, clean water to survive. Unfortunately, our fossil fuel emissions are changing our climate and making our oceans warmer and more acidic.  We have an obligation to protect our vital steelhead and salmon fisheries from climate change and ocean acidification.  As anglers, we ask Congress to pass legislation that promotes clean energy, eliminates fossil fuel subsidies, and dramatically reduces America's CO2 emissions.

CHROME was made possible by financial support from Orvis, Patagonia, Scientific Anglers, Yeti, Costa, Simms, Sage, TroutHunter, Sweetwater Travel Co., Hatch Magazine, The Boat Company & McIntosh Foundation, Trout Unlimited, National Wildlife Federation, American Fly Fishing Trade Association, American Rivers and Tim Romano Photography.  Please support these respected businesses and organizations.
