Conservation Hawks Endorses Washington Carbon Tax Initiative: I-732

While climate change is the largest threat to our hunting & fishing, very few sportsmen have had the opportunity to cast a ballot that limits global warming's impacts on our waters and landscapes.  This year, however, voters in Washington State have the opportunity to support I-732, a revenue-neutral carbon tax that would help reduce CO2 emissions without expanding government or increasing spending.   

Given that we're running out of time to cut our carbon emissions, and that climate change is an existential threat to our outdoor heritage and our sporting traditions - not to mention our kids & grandkids - Conservation Hawks suggests that Washington hunters and anglers head to the polls this November and vote "Yes" on I-732.  

As former Congressman Bob Inglis (R-SC) says, "You've got to tax something to fund the government.  Why not make it pollution rather than income ..."
